Both EU and non-EU citizens can buy property in the Netherlands, as there are no restrictions on foreign ownership. EU and EEA citizens are usually assessed much like Dutch residents, while non-EU buyers often need a valid residence permit (verblijfsvergunning) to get a mortgage. Your income, contract and registration matter more than your passport.
